We take on the part of your business that has to keep working.

Data Solutions Global provides B2B IT support, cloud, integration and delivery engineering for small and medium-sized businesses across Europe and the Middle East.

Most clients don’t want an IT department. They want the outcomes of one.

What that means in practice

Mail that works. Systems that talk to each other instead of being retyped between. Backups that have actually been restored, not just scheduled. And someone who answers when something breaks.

A standing arrangement, not emergencies

Most IT spend goes on surprises. We would rather be the reason there are fewer of them — patching, monitoring and capacity planning are unglamorous, and they are what stops the 2am call happening at all.

Small on purpose

You get the engineers who did the work, not an account layer relaying your questions to them. It means we take on fewer clients than we could, and it is the reason the answer to a technical question arrives the same day.

Four things we run end to end.

Each of these can be the whole engagement or one part of it. Most clients start with the one that is currently hurting and add the others once the first is quiet.

Cloud

Migration, architecture and cost control. Moving what you run onto cloud infrastructure without losing a weekend to downtime, and sizing it so the bill doesn’t grow faster than the business. We say plainly when staying on-premise is the cheaper answer.

Integration & automation

Getting the systems you already pay for to talk to each other — CRM, accounting, mail, file storage, line-of-business tools — so data stops being retyped. Where a language model genuinely helps we use one; where it would only add a failure mode, we say so.

Delivery engineering

Build and release pipelines, infrastructure as code and automated testing, so shipping a change is routine rather than an event. Most of the value here is deliberately boring: a deployment that can be repeated, and rolled back.

Support & maintenance

Monitoring, patching, backup verification, endpoint and access management, and a named person to call. Under a monthly retainer, with response times agreed in writing before you need them.

If what you need isn’t on this list, ask.

The first conversation is free and comes with an honest read on whether we’re the right fit — including when the answer is that we are not.

What we work across.

Not a badge wall. This is the ground we actually cover day to day — if something you depend on is missing from it, that is worth asking about before we start.

Mapped, planned, proven.

Three steps, in this order, every time. The order is the point: nothing gets changed before it has been written down, and nothing is reported as done before it has been tested.

We map what you have

Before recommending anything we document the estate as it actually is — what runs where, who has access, what the licences cost, and what is quietly a single point of failure. Most clients have never seen this written down, and it is often the most useful thing we hand over.

We write the plan, with the trade-offs

A short document: what we would change, in what order, what it costs, what it will not fix, and what the risk is at each step. You approve it before we touch anything, and you keep it whether or not you go ahead with us.

We change it, then we prove it

Work happens in agreed windows, with a rollback for every step. Then we test the thing that was supposed to improve — restore the backup, fail the node over, run the pipeline — because untested is the same as broken.

Three ways to work with us.

We recommend the model after we have seen what you have, not before. Picking it up front is how people end up paying a retainer for a one-off job, or hourly for something that needed owning.

Monthly retainer

Ongoing support, sized to your estate, with scope and response targets by severity written into the agreement. Best when you want someone to own the thing rather than be called about it. Month to month unless you want a longer term.

Fixed-price project

A defined change with a defined price: a migration, an integration, a pipeline build, a documentation pass. You know the number before it starts, and scope changes are quoted rather than absorbed quietly.

Hourly

For small or genuinely unpredictable pieces, where scoping the work would cost more than doing it. We tell you when this is the honest option and when it is us avoiding a commitment.

What working with us is like.

These are commitments about how the relationship is structured, not claims about how good we are. The difference matters: you can check a structure.

You talk to the engineer

There is no account manager between you and the person doing the work. When you describe a problem, you’re describing it to someone who can fix it.

We tell you what we would not do

Including when the answer is that you don’t need the thing you asked for. We’d rather lose a line item than sell you a migration that doesn’t pay for itself.

Everything is documented and yours

Credentials, configurations and runbooks live in your accounts, written as we go, and handed over. If you replace us, the next team won’t reverse-engineer our decisions. Undocumented setups are how this industry keeps clients — we’d rather keep them a different way.

None of this is a claim about how good we are. It’s how the relationship is structured — which is the part you can actually check.

Europe and the Middle East, in your working hours.

Remote-first, with the hours written into the contract rather than implied by a timezone on a website.

Where and when

We work remotely with clients across the EU, the UK and the Gulf. Support hours are agreed per contract and cover CET and GST business days. Out-of-hours cover is available where it’s genuinely needed, rather than sold by default — and we will tell you which systems it matters for.

Data and paperwork

We’re an EU-based operation and handle personal data under the GDPR. Where we process data on your behalf we’ll put a data processing agreement in place, and we’re happy to sign a mutual NDA before you tell us anything about your estate.

The things people ask before they start.

Fourteen answers, including the awkward ones. Search them if you are looking for something specific.

As much or as little as you want. Some clients hand over everything — devices, accounts, cloud, backups, and the phone. Others keep an internal person and bring us in for the parts they don’t want to own, usually cloud, integrations, or release engineering. We scope it in the first conversation.
Our work fits companies of roughly ten to two hundred and fifty people — big enough that IT failing costs real money, small enough that a full internal team is hard to justify. Below ten people we are usually more than you need, and we will say so rather than take the retainer.
Either. Where there’s an internal person we usually take the infrastructure and out-of-hours load so they can stay on the things only someone inside the business can do. We put the split in writing so nothing falls between us.
Ongoing support is a monthly retainer sized to your estate, with scope and response times written into it. Projects — a migration, an integration, a pipeline build — are quoted fixed-price against a defined scope. Hourly work is available for small or unpredictable pieces. We recommend the model after we’ve seen what you have, not before.
Agreed per contract and stated in it, with different targets by severity. We’d rather commit to a number we can hold than advertise one we can’t. Out-of-hours cover is a separate line, added only where the business genuinely needs it.
If you have out-of-hours cover, monitoring raises the alert and the engineer on call picks it up against the severity target in your contract. If you don’t, it waits until the next business morning — and we will have told you plainly which systems that is a risk for, before you decided not to buy the cover.
Where it removes real work: classifying and routing incoming requests, drafting documentation from system state, extracting structured data from documents, and search across your own knowledge. We don’t put a language model somewhere a wrong answer is expensive and nobody would notice. If a script would do the job, we write the script.
Yes, and it’s most of what we do. The first phase is always documentation — finding out what runs where, what the licences are, and where the single points of failure sit. Undocumented handovers are normal in this industry; we assume it rather than being surprised by it.
Usually. The first job is to stop the bleeding and establish what state things are actually in, which often means pausing the migration rather than pushing on. Then we give you an honest read: finish it, roll it back, or change the target. We will not pretend a bad plan is recoverable in order to keep the work.
Yes. We can produce the evidence for the parts of your estate we run — access controls, patch state, backup and restore testing, logging — and tell you honestly where you would currently fail. We are not a certification body and we will not sign off on something we have not tested.
Agreed windows, a rollback prepared before we start, and a test of the thing that was supposed to improve afterwards. Restore the backup, fail the node over, run the pipeline. Untested is the same as broken, so we do not report a change as done until it has been proven.
You keep all of it. Credentials and configuration live in your accounts throughout, not ours, and runbooks are written as we go rather than at the end. Offboarding is a checklist, not a negotiation.
We don’t do marketing sites, design work, or telephony installation, and we don’t resell hardware at a margin. We don’t take on estates where we would be asked to hide problems from the people paying for them. When something is outside our competence we say so before taking the work rather than during it.
Email us a short description of what you run and what’s currently painful. We’ll come back with an honest read on whether we can help, and what we’d look at first. No obligation.

Nothing matches that. Ask us directly and we will answer it — and probably add it here.

Tell us what you’re running, and what’s currently painful.

We’ll come back with an honest read on whether we can help and what we’d look at first. No obligation, no deck. If we’re the wrong fit we’ll say so and, where we can, point you at someone better suited.
